Student Exchange Programs- AIESEC UoN

AIESEC  is a student run non-governmental organization that engages in exchange programs to enhance cross-cultural experience and develop leadership to fulfill our mission; PEACE & FULFILLMENT OF HUMANKIND'S POTENTIAL.
All the exchange opportunities are based on the Sustainable Development Goals and are eligible to any youth between 18-30 Years and the opportunities are all self-sponsored programmes.
 
Our products include;
  • Outgoing Global Volunteer -  a social impact based project running for 6-78 weeks by an NGO.
  • Outgoing Global Entrepreneur- a non-paying internship opportunity that runs for 3-6 months in a start-ups and SMEs. The opportunity is viable to anyone who is enrolled in the university.
  • Outgoing Global Talent- a paying internship opportunity that runs for 6 months to 1 year in a well established company. The opportunity is viable to a graduate i.e. one who has finished their university degree.

International Conference to mark 25th Commemoration of Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda

 The university of nairobi in partnership with rwanda High commission will hold an International Conference to mark the 25th Commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda on Friday March 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at Taifa Hall.

NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK OPENS CALL FOR STARTUPS 2019

The call for startups to participate in the annual NIW.Startups programme at the Nairobi Innovation Week is live. Startups can now apply and update their profiles on the NIW.Startups online portal for consideration in 2019. The deadline for application is 5th April 2019. 30 startups will be selected to pitch during the 5th Nairobi Innovation Week and the 6 Most Promising Startups 2019 feted. NIW 2019 will be held in 10th -14th June at the University of Nairobi Great Court. The startups are set to scale, network, get discovered by investors, partners, customers, mentors and the media. They will also learn from coaches and mentors.

Startups with existing profiles on the NIW.Startups portal will only need to update their profiles for consideration in 2019. Startups in early stage and growth stage are eligible. The thematic areas for this year are in line with the Nairobi Innovation Week 2019 theme, ‘Innovation and Kenya’s Big 4 Agenda.’
